Donations of any size can meaningfully support the goals of The HELPS Education Fund. All donations are tax-deductable.
As noted elsewhere on this website, 100% of donations go directly to supporting the goals of The HELPS Education Fund, the non-profit foundation started by John Begeny in 2009. Approximately 75% of the donations to this Fund are used to offer teachers and schools educational materials and services, particularly for teachers working with large percentages of students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Click here to learn more about how these donations are used.
The other 25% of the money in The HELPS Education Fund is allocated to support continued research, development, and dissemination of related educational programs, including (but not limited to) the HELPS Program for small groups, the HELPS Program for parents, and the HELPS Program for Spanish speakers. Like the One-on-One Program currently available, all other HELPS Programs will be made available for free and, when available, will be donated in ways similar to the HELPS One-on-One Program.
How to Donate
Donations should be made to The HELPS Education Fund. All donations are tax-deductible.Contributors to The HELPS Education Fund should note the following. Because of Dr. Begeny's employment as a professor at North Carolina State University (NCSU), The HELPS Education Fund is currently housed and operated within Dr. Begeny's department at NCSU. Therefore, money received for The HELPS Education Fund is initially processed by the NCSU Foundation and then transferred into The HELPS Education Fund. For clarity: 100% of the money acquired from donations to The HELPS Education Fund go directly to this Fund and are used to support the goals of the Fund.
